February is National
Parent Leadership Month
The Parents Anonymous organization has designated February as National
Parent Leadership month
to raise public awareness about the important roles parents play in
shaping the

Title I Parent Involvement Information
Worth County High School has been approved as
a Title I school-wide school under the guidelines of the No Child Left Behind
Act of 2001.
Parent involvement is important to a child's success in school leading to
graduation.
Recently information was sent home with the students for parents to review and
sign.
The Parent Involvement information can also be reviewed and printed by

Students can return the forms to their first period teacher.

Georgia PIRC Network
The Georgia Parent Information and Resource Center provides parents with
information on
the No Child Left Behind legislation and provides resources for parents to
assist them
in their role as educators for their children.

"No Child Left Behind"
In compliance with the
requirements of the "No Child Left Behind" statute, the Worth County School
District informs parents that they may request information about the
professional qualifications of your student's teacher(s).
The following information may be requested:
whether the teacher has met
the Georgia Professional Standards Commission requirements for certification
for the grade level and subject areas in which the teacher provides
instruction;
whether the teacher is
teaching under an emergency or other provisional status through which
Georgia qualifications
or certification criteria have been waived;
the college major and any graduate certification or degree held by the teacher;
